We need to develop new methods
of sorting computer files in order to
properly catalog the growing amount
of cat imagery on the internet.

You should be able to sort your computer files by their attributes as easily as you can sort objects sitting in front of you.

Most computers implement a hierarchical tree of folders within folders, and this method of doing things is firmly entrenched. But let’s imagine a future where files can be sorted and re-sorted into many different ways. In that future, you would spend less time thinking about where the file “goes”, and more time thinking about what the file “means”.
