Look out!

Does this look like a pumpkin to you?
I don’t know where we got this weird hybrid squash.
I guess I wasn’t too picky because I carved it anyway.

It has a funny vacant look.

In the background, through the door, inside the house,
You can just make out a deranged old lady.

Crazy old lady giving out cupcakes
and pinches on the cheek.

If you do things right, the pumpkin gets crazier
and crazier looking as it gets older.

Geriatric Squash, Rest in Peace.
