Food... It's what's for dinner!

This is a cake we decorated for a friend.
He has three cats who can't be kept off the counters...

We had buckets and buckets of FREE olives this year!
Four of us picked them.
One of us (not me) cured them with lye and lots of water rinses.
In this photo we're repacking some cured olives in tasty herb water.
(What you can see here is only a fraction, maybe 10%, of the total.)

We're also experimenting with eating wild food.
This is miner's lettuce, which grows in tender little shoots.
It can be used just like fresh spinach, and tastes great.

This "We Understand" thing spins around and around.
Having things spin around must be very important for selling cars.
Each week they put a different Volkswagen on the spinny thing.
...
I wonder what it would look like if they spun my bike around for a week?
